Our private household in Fort Madison, Iowa, is seeking a reliable, professional, and independent live-in caregiver. This is a direct-hire arrangement structured specifically for individuals looking to maximize their financial savings by completely eliminating rental overhead, utility bills, and food costs. This role is highly suited for an international student on an authorized post-graduate program (OPT), a legal visa holder with an independent EAD, or a relocating professional looking for stability and community in a safe, peaceful Midwestern home environment.

The Value & Compensation Package (What We Provide):

Guaranteed Weekly Income: $300.00 gross per week, paid legally via W-2 payroll, fully satisfying and exceeding all federal and state minimum wage requirements for a structured schedule of up to 40 caregiving hours per week.

Performance Bonuses: Regular financial bonuses will be explicitly awarded to reward absolute honesty, diligence, and long-term reliability.

Full Board (Food Included): All standard household groceries and daily meals are fully provided and covered by the household at zero cost to you.

Premium Private Housing: A private bedroom and dedicated living space within a secure, beautifully maintained residential home.

Zero Living Overhead: All household utilities, electricity, high-speed wireless internet, and essential home amenities are 100% covered by the household.

Core Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, safe, and engaging care during designated, pre-scheduled working blocks (up to 40 hours per week).

Assist with standard daily child-centered routines, including nutritious meal preparation for the child and maintaining the care spaces.

Light Housekeeping: Help maintain clean and tidy care spaces, assist with the child’s laundry, and ensure common household areas are kept neat, organized, and respectful.

Bring a mature, communicative, and respectful presence to our shared residential environment.

Professional Structure & Boundaries:
We believe that a successful live-in arrangement requires absolute structural clarity. You will be provided with a formal, written employment agreement on day one outlining exact scheduled blocks. When you are off-the-clock, your time is strictly your own to rest, study, work on personal projects, or explore.

Candidate Requirements:

Work Authorization: Must possess valid, current independent legal authorization to work in the United States (such as a valid Employment Authorization Document [EAD], Green Card, or approved domestic employment visa status). Note: This is an independent direct-hire position and does not utilize a J-1 Au Pair agency sponsor.

Previous childcare or caregiving experience with verifiable personal or professional references.

Clean background check clearance and a valid driver's license.

A mature, stable mindset capable of balancing professional responsibilities and maintaining honesty and diligence within a shared home environment.
