I’m Edinah Hari-fy Oliva Rakotoseheno. You can call me Edinah. I’m 22 years old. I grew up in Ihosy, a town in the South of Madagascar. My father passed away when I was 11. My mother works as an accountant in Finance. I have one sister and two brothers. When I finished the High School, I left Ihosy and moved to the capital so I live with my sister, her husband and their son until now. I studied German in first year at the University of Antananarivo but I didn’t continue. So I just earn a baccalaureate degree.
I want to become an Au Pair because I love children. I like spending time with them. They have an innocent soul. I need to explore new cultures and share mine. Being an Au Pair is very important for my future project. Taking care of children brings me great joy, and I naturally form bonds of trust with them through my patience, kindness and genuine affection. I believe that what makes me unique is not only my love for children, but also my nurturing personality and sense of responsibility. I would be honored to be part of your family, to share in your daily life, and to offer my full dedication and care to your children.
I have some experiences with children. I have already done an internship as a childcare assistant at a kindergarten “Les Pinocchios” in Besarety, for 6 months. I prepared and helped children with their homework. I played with them and I read story for them. Children were between 2 years to 6 years. We did many activities like painting, coloring, tinkering, singing, dancing… I help my sister with her son, we can say like an Au Pair but without the cultural exchange part. I don’t just babysit him but I raised him since he was born: I feed him, I change his diaper, I rock him… His name is Leeroy and he is 23 months. I have been taking care of him until now.
Why USA? I choose USA as my future host country because it is known for its welcoming au pair programs and a pleasant living environment. I have always been fascinated by American culture, lifestyle and traditions. I want to immerse myself in American culture, improve my English skills, and learn about daily life in the USA.
The family should choose me because I’m a very caring person. I believe I would be a great au pair for you because I am responsible, kind, and motivated. I enjoy taking care of children, helping them learn, and creating fun activities. I’m also open to new cultures and ready to adapt to your family’s way of life. I hope to build a strong and positive relationship with both the children and the parents. I will do my best to support the family and become a trustworthy part of their daily life.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking and listening to music. I also like going for walks and discovering new places and cultures. Spending time with children is something I truly enjoy. I like playing, helping them with homework, tinkering, reading story… Sometimes, I take my nieces to the park or playground on the weekends.
I think what makes me unique is my ability to connect with children easily, my positive attitude, and my sense of responsibility. I’m a kind, organized, calm and caring person. I have some experiences in taking care of children in my own family. I always try to understand children’s emotions. I create a warm and safe environment where they feel comfortable and happy. I feel very fulfilled when I take care of them and seeing their innocents smiles.
