Introduction
My name is Gabrielle and I am a Filipino in country Au Pair who's looking for a new host family to extend with for my second year extension. I am currently living in San Carlos, CA and I'm taking care of two (2) kids aged 4 1/2 (girl) & 6 (boy). My current host family was really awesome, very nice, open minded, and I really enjoyed having them in my first year being an Au Pair but sadly I'll be ending my contract with them by November this year. I will be their last Au Pair since they will send the kids to after school and they don't need an Au pair anymore. Good news is they're willing to give me a recommendation letter if you wanna ask them about how I work with them for a year if you require and wanna get to know me more. I am basically responsible for all the activities and affairs regarding with the kids (if I'm on duty of course) while parents at work. I also helped doing light household chores (cleaning up after myself too) such as, doing kid's laundry including their towels and bed sheets, washing the dishes, vacuum scraps on the floor after eating, help kids do their homework, drop and pick up kids in school, cook and prepare kid's meals and snacks (sometimes I cook for the whole family too since we eat sometimes together), teach them the Tagalog language, bring them to their piano and swimming class, making sure kids practice their piano everyday at home if no piano class, teach kids to do light household chores too like folding their own clothes, also folding their blankets and arrange their beds and stuffed animals, cleaning up their toys, wiping the table after they eat, picking up rice scraps on the floor, and teaching kids how to shower themselves. Now kids knew how to take a shower but of course I still supervise them to make sure they do it right. I believe kids should learn basic household chores so they grow up responsible and don't rely always to other people especially if they can do it by themselves. I hope we'll be in a good match and consider my application, and I'm looking forward meeting and working with you (my second future host family) soon! Thank you.
Gabrielle :)
