Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Hello,
We are excited to start our journey with you as a new member of our family. We're a racially, culturally, and nationality mixed family. My husband is American and I'm Russian. We live in Philadelphia with our 22 month old daughter and are expecting twins this December. We love living in the city and have enjoyed our time in Philly. Philly is so rich in US history and diverse cultures that there is so much to enjoy. Before being parents we liked to travel, day trips to New York City were our favorite. Philly is very close to a lot of great cities!! New York City and Washington DC are both 1.5hr train trips away and very easy to visit. Boston is another close city, 6hrs by train or 5.5hrs driving. We don't get to travel as much now but are able to share knowledge for fun things to do and experiences to take. We have had nannies from different countries and enjoyed the new things we learned about their culture. We enjoy going into the city to have dinner with each other now that our daughter is old enough for restaurants. We hope that we can give you advice on how to enjoy this wonderful and historical city and help you explore more experiences.
We like to laugh and have fun, singing and dancing is common with our daughter. We have very eclectic interests so we like new music, shows, and movie options. We are very easy going and want to have a true experience that we're adding another member of our family that we care about and cares about us, we have been lucky to have two nannies that got very close with our family in a short time and still keep in contact with them to update them on our daughter. We look forward to celebrating holidays that you enjoy too. As an immigrant I'm excited to have another person to possibly cook and shop with me occassionally.
Both my husband and I are engineers by education. My husband enjoyed helping me perfect my English and teaching me about American culture. We hope we can also share our knowledge to teach whatever we can that interests our Au pair. Hopefully homesickness is NEVER a concern because we're able to make you feel at home.

Job Description
Hi! My husband and I are looking for full time Au Pair to care for our 21 month old daughter and we are also expecting twin boys in December. We live in Philadelphia, Fishtown area. She is our first and unfortunately we don’t have family in PA to help. We need support Monday-Thursday and bi-weekly Fridays, occassionally we have an appointment on Saturdays and need a couple hours then. Our needs focus on child care and the light housekeeping is in support of our children and the Au pair. We are a mixed household and can support nannies that speak Russian or English.
