Hello! Welcome to our growing family. My name is Jessie, I am an airline pilot and mom, expecting our second daughter on June 16th. I plan on staying home for a while, anywhere from 6 months and possibly up to 18 months. While I don't know when I will be going back to work, I know I'll need help for at least the next few months. I love to cook and bake, and I usually run everyday with our dogs (although I've been walking the last few weeks since I'm pregnant). My favorite thing to do is spending time with my family.
My husband, Michael, is a hardworking dad that works mostly from home in our 4th bedroom. He used to travel monthly, although that is uncertain whether that will continue in the future with the quarantine. Michael loves to go on long runs and recently has taken up marathons as a hobby. He is a very involved dad and loves playing with our daughter.
Sophia is our 4 year old daughter, who loves to laugh, play, sing, read, and has an incredible imagination. She is learning Spanish through her Montessori and loves to learn new things.
We have 2 dogs - Annabelle, who turns 9 in August, and Jade, who turned 2 in February. They love to play together and enjoy their daily runs/walks that I take them on. Sophia LOVES her dogs, and they are always hanging out with the family.
Beacon, is our fiesty, sassy, 15 year old cat. She likes to hang out and observe the daily craziness that goes on in our house, but doesn't really like attention unless she's getting treats. She doesn't really care for Sophia, but for some reason, Sophia loves her the most. It is entertaining to watch.
We spend a lot of time together as a family when Michael isn't working, and enjoy doing outside activities like hiking, going to the beach, and going out to eat. We love to travel and have family all over the country.

We are a growing family looking for a wonderful addition to help us with our 4 year old daughter Sophia and our newborn daughter who is due to arrive in June. Sophia goes to a Spanish speaking Montessori during the week, Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4pm. We will need assistance with getting up and helping our daughter get dressed, eat breakfast, pack lunches, and driving her to/from her school every morning and every afternoon. In addition to playing with and helping Sophia get ready in the mornings and off to school, Mom is looking for a mother's helper to help with cooking, light cleaning, and laundry, while also giving some breaks so she can nap after being up witg on how long the quarantine lasts, we may need to have our au pair occupy Sophia at home during the day, doing stimulating activities with her like puzzles, drawing, dancing, singing, walking, riding her bike, etc. (no TV!). We also have 2 big dogs and a cat, so we need someone who loves animals, as they are a big part of our lives.
Our requirements include being infant qualified, being a strong driver who is comfortable driving on the freeway and busy streets on a daily basis, and being an animal lover. Our daughter likes to get up anywhere from 6-6:30am, so someone who likes mornings is preferable.
We live in Orange County, located in beautiful Southern California, 20 minutes away from the beaches, and 1 hour away from Los Angeles and 1 hour from San Diego. There are a ton of activities to do and places to go just within Orange County itself. We allow access to one of our cars for our au pair to use when not working and are flexible with scheduling hours. Right now, we anticipate the schedule to be similar to this:
Monday - Friday: 6am - 11:30am, break until 3:30-6:30pm
Saturday: 6am - 9am
We are happy to work around classes or activities as long as they don't conflict with a critical time for help. We encourage our au pair to get out and explore during their time off! There are beautiful hiking trails right behind our house and quick access to shopping, malls, movies, schools, etc. We are an active family, and while we aren't sure what life will look like with baby #2, whenever we go out our au pair is welcome to come with us. Sophia considers our current au pair as part of our family, and we do too.
